Sitthar Koodam

Sitthar Koodam is a two decade old Non-Profit organisation registered under Tamilnadu Trust Act. This is run by a handful of youngsters, disciples of His Holiness Gnalaguru Siddhar – affectionately called by us as ‘Anbu Siddhar’. Aim of the trust is to accomplish ‘Anbu Siddhar’ vision of building a ‘Universal Equality, Brotherhood, Socialistic and Cooperative Society’.

Our Work

We spend our energy and time in:

  • Taking care of destitute and orphaned children.
  • Empowering women, specifically widows, families affected by alcoholism to earn a
    livelihood.
  • To build a better India we conduct moral education classes for children, promoting the
    importance of honesty, integrity, morality, culture, values, & propagating the teachings
    writing of our His Holiness our guru ‘Anbu Siddhar’ on the dignity of the human life and
    communal harmony.
  •  Environment Conservancy activities include plantation of trees, educating the children the
    need & inspiring them to become more engaged with their communities.
  • Aid the need at times of natural calamities and disaster.

SPONSORING HIGHER EDUCATION

Sitthar koodam trust has been sponsoring higher education, for destitute girl children. Currently two students are studying Diploma in Nursing in Madurai Medical college & in Government Mohan Kumaramangalam medical college. Two of them are pursing Bachelor of Arts (Tamil) in PKN College Thirumangalam.

MORAL EDUCATION

To build children attitudes and behaviors towards others and their environment and help them acquire a set of beliefs and values regarding what is right and wrong we have been conducting numerous training programs free of cost.


Over the decade Lakhs of students have benefitted from these programs.

  • 100’s of programs specifically targeting school children (8th to 12th standard) have been undertaken during their summer vacations in various villages –on the importance of morality, honesty, ill-effects of alcoholism, tobacco, drugs and practices and the impact which it has on their health, family and the society as a whole.
  • 100 plus photo exhibitions cum lectures have been conducted in Schools and Colleges in Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivaganga districts. These program’s have been focused on educating, teaching, promoting the importance of mother tongue, uniqueness, antiquity, richness of tamil language, tamilian culture, tamil traditions, family values, scientific relevance’s of these practices, and preaching’s of His Holiness Gnalaguru ‘Anbu Siddhar’ on importance of human life, values, ethics and communal harmony.
